School Mission:

The mission of Texas Health School is to provide quality educational programs that prepare its graduates for employment in their specialized field of allied health.  The programs emphasize hands-on training that are relevant to the requirements of the employer community and focus on areas that offer long-term employment opportunities.

 


Texas Health School provides medical and health post secondary schooling to Houston, Texas residents.  Our medical and health school offers a variety of vocational training classes in the allied health fields including physical therapy aide, medical assistant, nurse aides, medicationa aides and massage therapiy. Programs range from three weeks to seven months; and day, afternoon, evening, and weekend classes are available. We offer smaller classes, personalized one-on-one attention, job placement assistance, and a staff of educators who are experienced in their fields to ensure you receive only the best medical and health schooling in Texas.

We offer a variety of medical and health classes, available day or night, including:

  • Massage Therapy

  • 18 Weeks Day + 4-6 Wks Internship
  • 28 Weeks Evening + 6-8 Wks Internship
  • Certified Nurse Aides
  • 3 Weeks Day / 5 Weeks Evening or 9 Weeks Saturday
  • Certified Medication Aides     
  • 9 Weeks Day or 9 Weeks Evening
  • Medical Assistants
  • 32 Weeks Day or 39 Weeks Evening
  • Physical Therapy Aides
  • 20 Weeks Day or 24 Weeks Evening

Commission of the Council on Occupational Education

Texas Health School is approved and regulated by:

  • Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services,   Nurse Aide Training Program
  • Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, Medication Aide Training Program

  • Texas Veterans Commission, Veterans Education
  • Texas Department of State and Health Services, Massage Therapy Program

    Texas Health School:

    • Is certified by the United States Department of Education for participation in Federal Title IV Student Financial Assistance Programs
    • Provides educational training services for the Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
    • Is approved for training of veterans and other eligible persons under Title 38 including VA vocational rehabilitation programs
    • Is an approved vendor of the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS)
